This doesn't apply to Charon, because you can choose to fight him wherever you are in the run. I'd recommend waiting to fight him as late as possible, like Asphodel or Elysium, so you have a chance to get more and better boons.

I cannot get Charon to spawn his sack of cash to steal so I can fight him in a run and also do Hermes' request. Is there a required Boon, Pact, Weapon, or anything else I'm missing? I've found about 15 or so of his mid-shops but I always have just enough to buy something.
