Your Prayer level unlocks more prayers as you go while also serving as your maximum number of prayer points.

Ensouled heads are items that can be dropped by their respective monsters. These heads can be reanimated by using the appropriate spell within the Arceuus spellbook on the head. Reanimation can be cast on any ensouled head within an 31x31 area where that head was dropped by a monster.
There’s one method that saves even more money than the chaos altar: re-animating ensouled heads. This involves buying ensouled heads from the GE, and re-animating them at the Dark Altar. You’ll need the required magic level and runes to cast the spell, and also some combat gear to slay them.

Ensouled heads can be reanimated to passively train Prayer during Slayer tasks from monsters that drops them, such as Bloodvelds or Abyssal Demons. Reanimation spells can be directly cast on ensouled heads dropped on the ground from monsters as long as the player do not bank them.
