You do not need to create a citation for entire federal or state constitutions. Simply reference them in the text by name. When citing particular articles and amendments, create reference list entries and in-text citations as normal.

Standard format is to provide Constitution Name abbreviation, article, section, and clause--if used. Note that citation style for constitutions uses Roman numerals for article and amendment numbers. Do not include where you found the document.
