Meal plan changes will be updated on your ID card within 24 hours, or on the next business day if submitted during the weekend or on a holiday. Your updated meal plan charge will be reflected within 5-7 business days on your semester fee bill.
25 lip 2023 · Friday, September 15th, 2023 will be the last day to downgrade or upgrade your Fall 2023 meal plan. After this date, changes cannot be accommodated. Upgrades will no longer be accepted at any point during the semester. Please use our online form to make changes.

You'll have to call up their offices or email them(http://dining.uconn.edu/contact.html), and quickly. I'm not sure if they let you change it per semester, but I've changed mine in the first week of the academic year before by just talking to them.
You can change your meal plan by filling out our online meal plan change form. For upgrades, payment is required within 10 days to the Bursar’s Office on the first floor of Wilbur Cross.
Only flex passes come with the Custom meal plan. If you want to add on points to the Custom meal plan or you are a student in on/off campus apartments and would like a points account you can submit your request by filling out our online form.
