Treasure Chests. Gemstones of Rough, Flawed and Fine qualities can be found in Treasure Chests, except for Opal Gemstones. A Treasure Chest can spawn in random structures or has a chance to appear when mining Hard Stone in the ⏣ Crystal Hollows.
Pristine gems are obtained from Geodes, and are basically a slightly better version of their basic counterparts. They provide additional bonuses when used for crafting Modules. Their textures are mostly identical, with a slight difference of having an occasional white glint.
Tough Beginnings is a mod that make the early game process of obtaining wood/stone/tools/workbench a little more difficult. Instead of being able to punch trees to obtain wood you must harvest gravel to obtain Raw Flint, this flint is useless in its raw form.
Pristine is a stat that increases the chance to drop higher quality Gemstones from mining. Each point of Pristine grants a +1% chance to drop a Flawed Gemstone per Rough Gemstone mined. The effect of Pristine activates on each Rough Gemstone harvested after ☘ Mining Fortune is applied.
Ores. All Gemstones can be mined in certain Locations throughout SkyBlock, including the Crystal Hollows, Glacite Tunnels, Glacite Mineshafts, or Crimson Isle for Opal Gemstones. Each ore type has a specific Breaking Power requirement in order to be mined, but grants 3-5 Rough Gemstones of its respective type.
Ores that require a furnace do not require Smelting Touch to be obtained. Stone is replaced by Hard Stone within the Hollows, which is harder to break than Stone. Gemstones, Mithril, and vanilla ores spawn within the Hard Stone. Yields from most vanilla ores are increased within the Crystal Hollows.
Unlike in Minecraft, newly mined diamonds in real life are rough, cloudy stones. The largest, purest ones are polished into crystal-clear gemstones, while the rest are used in industry for cutting and grinding.
