12 mar 2024 · A hydraulic press is a machine that uses a fluid, typically oil, to transmit force applied to one part of the press to another part of the press. The fluid is pressurized by a pump and is then sent through a system of hoses and valves to the press cylinder.
You could build a bench-top press by shortening the uprights. I mitered the corners because it gave a finished look, but you could get an acceptable result by simply setting the cross piece on the uprights and welding them together.
