A Player Moderator (also known as a Player Mod, PMod or P-Mod) is a RuneScape player selected by Jagex to help moderate the game [1]. Player Moderators were added to the game on 14 June 2004 [2] [3] and by December 2019 there were 2,364 PMods. [4] As of 2024, there are around 1,800 PMods.

A Jagex Moderator (also known as a Jagex Mod, JMod or J-Mod) is an employee of Jagex. Jagex Moderator accounts are only used for work purposes, such as play-testing, debugging, hosting events, attending private meetings ("surgeries") with volunteer Moderators, and dealing with in-game situations.
