Found a good tactic to prevent civil war, and haven't had a singel one throughout the game. (But been close once or twice). I recomend the following tactics: 1. Try to recruite generals from your own family. The less generals the opposing houses have, the less generals they have if you fail and a civil war accours.
there are several ways to keep loyalty above the minimum to trigger civil war. (A civil war isn’t possible unless a families loyalty is -10 or worse) if you see disloyalty brewing more than -8 u want to promote members of that family, this will add +2 loyalty.

All you have to do is to make sure that your head of the family (your faction leader in other words) has higher gravitas than everyone else, regardless in which family they belong. I had a civil war once while I was playing with Pontus. I loaded it a hundred times but the civil war kept happening.
Tip: You can click on the strategic map and one of the filters ( a new one) will show you what provinces the other parties control. This way you can trigger a civil war and be ready to immediately recapture your cities. I do this to any crappy parties that only have negative loyalty traits.
3 lut 2012 · I noticed that a large portion of all nobles had turned loyal to a non-rightful heir during this game, is there any way to avoid this, and does that impact the chance of civil wars while the heir is still not the ruler of the nation?
