About the band. AJ Lee & Blue Summit are an award-winning energetic, charming, and technically jaw-dropping band quickly rising on the national roots music scene. Based in Santa Cruz, California, the group met as teenagers, picking and jamming together as kids at local music festivals and jams until one day, they decided they would be a band.
20 cze 2022 · From Tracy, California. 2005, she began performing at age seven with the Tuttles, a family band that featured Jack Tuttle and his children Michael, Sullivan and Molly. A. J. played mandolin and sang lead and harmony vocals. The act was later billed as “The Tuttles featuring A.J. Lee.”
13 lis 2023 · By age 7, Lee, now on mandolin, was invited to join The Tuttles, a family band featuring renowned bluegrass educator Jack Tuttle and his three virtuosic children: Molly, Sullivan and Michael. Before long, Lee had performed at popular venues such as Strawberry Bluegrass Festival and Freight & Salvage in Berkeley.
11 maj 2022 · Along with covers and some of Jack’s tunes, the Tuttles with AJ Lee played Molly’s first original songs, so few people are as qualified to chart her songwriting growth as Lee. She’s not surprised to see how Tuttle’s career has taken off.
1 lip 2024 · AJ: Yeah, I’m pretty young. I’m 26 now, but I have been doing music since I was really young. Collectively, we figured out that the band has about 90 years worth of experience. I’ve been playing on stage since I was about four or five years old. So I’m young, but I have been doing it for a long time.
