No, it isn’t. Bedrock is on Switch, Ps4, Xbox One and PC. Java is just on PC. The majority of young Minecraft players play on console. I see absolutely no information that points to Java having a larger player base. The more accessible version (Bedrock) is naturally going to have the most players.
