16 gru 2021 · Opening the Display section in Settings, there are no external displays connected. This dock (and other HP docks OEMed by Synaptics) require dedicated driver/software to function properly. https://www.synaptics.com/products/displaylink-graphics/downloads/macos.

I did just purchase a Mac mini m1 though, not using it for HTPC but I have IINA (https://iina.io) on it and its real nice and free. Its basically identical to VLC (on file playability) but has the interface of Quicktime (which is nicer looking and easier to use than VLC imo).

23 cze 2021 · Picked up an M1 Mac Mini yesterday in the hopes of ditching my Windows 10 based HTPC. I was able to enable 8 channel output but only at 48 kHz. Is it just impossible to even pass through those HD/Atmos audio tracks through the Mini? Would an external sound card like the X3 work? What about a DAC?
