16 kwi 2024 · I use a Logitech G502 (wired USB) mouse and I can get insane pointer speed out of it if I want to as it seems to bypass the Windows pointer speed setting. I actually have to set my speed down to 3200 Mickeys*, otherwise it is way too fast.

MOUSE DPI: Most mice scan the surface at about 800 dots per inch (DPI). High resolution 4K and even 8K screens will require a mouse that scans more to avoid lag.

The best measurement is distance per 360 degrees. That takes in account the DPI, screen resolution, in game sensitivity, and FOV. I run the lowest DPI I can without getting pixel skipping, and currently my cm/360 is probably around 30cm. EDIT: So for example, in Overwatch I use 1600 DPI @ 3 in game sens @ 103 FOV.
