Maintenance. This section describes the procedures for loading and replacing consumables such as paper and toner and countermeasures if the paper or original is jammed.
Paper jams may occur when the difference in length between the actually loaded paper and the print data is 40 mm or more. Check whether the loaded paper is appropriate for the print data.
If paper jams, the (Alarm) indicator flashes, and the message <Paper Jam inside Printer> and paper jam locations are displayed in the Printer Status Window. Clear the jams in the displayed order of jam locations using the procedures described in the sections referred to below.
We recommend you use paper other than A5 sized one to print documents with photos or graphics; otherwise, the printout may curl and cause paper exit jams. See Also Cause

Do not use heavier or lighter paper (except for Canon genuine paper), as it could jam in the printer.
29 lut 2020 · Cardstock ranges from 50 lb to 110 lb (about 135 to 300 g/m2). If the cardstock you're using is outside of the printer's range, then it may not feed correctly (as you've experienced). Cardstock also tends to be thicker than Bond or Cover type papers, which will negatively impact how flexible it is.
