On the beach since 1969, Port A Beachlodge is a laid back and simple lodge nestled in the dunes of Mustang Island, just 200 feet from the ocean. The Beachlodge is the only place on the island that has an onsite restaurant/bar for lodging guests and open to the public.
Located right on the beach, the Port A Beach Lodge offers delicious food and cold beverages-just what you'll want after playing in the sand and waves. This bar & grill is the perfect place to grab a drink or quick bite.
We like this place because it is instant access to the beach, has a good restaurant at reasonable prices and a friendly staff. There is a nice pool and picnic area with a grill. The rooms are basic but clean. If you are looking for 5 star service the Beach Lodge is not for you.
