10 maj 2023 · If your dipstick has a "full" and "add" line, try keeping your oil level between the two in the "safe" zone and see if that helps with this. Refererence items 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 15 and 16 in the parts page link below.
If the engine fails to start, remove the spark plugs, clean and dry the electrodes, then reinstall the spark plugs and attempt to start the engine again. If used engine oil showed signs of water contamination, then a second engine oil change should be performed after running the engine for 1/2 hour.
21 sty 2012 · #1. Model year 2000 Honda BF15a 4-stroke won't start. Historically it has always started on the second pull, even after many months of no use. Problem started immediately after motor got pretty hot when it stopped passing water maybe 1/2 mile from destination.
20 lip 2017 · If you have a leak 90% of the time it will be from the rocker cover or from the crank breather exiting through the airbox. If it is coming from the airbox it has either been stored incorrectly or overfilled with oil
Oil Pressure Indicator. During normal operation, this indicator remains turned on. It turns off and the buzzer sounds when the oil level is low and/or the engine lubrication system is faulty. The engine speed slows down gradually.
Page 45 SERVICING YOUR OUTBOARD MOTOR When you check the oil level in the oil level inspection window, you might notice the engine oil appears milky or the oil level has increased. If you notice either condition, change the engine oil.
29 kwi 2012 · Honda 4 strokes mount the oil filter on the side of the motor. I use a custom cut soda bottle to catch the oil when changing the filter. If you don't you get oil in the bottom of the pan. (your photo shows the drain of that pan) I think it's no biggie. Check the filter to see if its tight enough.
