24 lis 2013 · One of the spark plug resistor caps ohms out at 340-440 Kohms instead of 10K. I'm assuming this should be replaced before conducting the rest of the tests. Unfortunately they're not available from Honda and are only sold in Indonesia. To order the part from Honda, I'll have to order a complete ignition coil.
30 lip 2016 · It is located on that shaft just inside the oil case on the starboard side of the outboard. Those go bad or get out of adjustment and won't allow spark. Do you have a voltmeter and know how to use it? That can help alot when figuring out a no spark condition.
21 sty 2012 · Tried a new ignition coil and a different CDI, individually and together. Still no spark. Oil level OK, about in the middle of the dipstick. Can find no problems in the wiring harness. Every connection re-checked and re-checked again.
Page 45 SERVICING YOUR OUTBOARD MOTOR When you check the oil level in the oil level inspection window, you might notice the engine oil appears milky or the oil level has increased. If you notice either condition, change the engine oil. See the following table for an explanation of these conditions. Page 46: Engine Oil Change
If the engine fails to start, remove the spark plugs, clean and dry the electrodes, then reinstall the spark plugs and attempt to start the engine again. If used engine oil showed signs of water contamination, then a second engine oil change should be performed after running the engine for 1/2 hour.

29 maj 2021 · I just finished putting in new spark plugs,. oil change, lower unit gear oil, started motor and it started and ran fine. Shut it down, pulled the lower unit checked the water pump and it had a broken lobe, replaced the impeller and put it all back together.
