They make good stuff and I have their hidden winch mount, but I wanted something: 1) Lighter 2) Modular 3) Cheaper I was already familiar with 2020 extrusions from building 3D printers, so after about $200 in aluminum parts, I ended up with this.
10 wrz 2018 · I created a DIY rack that I wanted to share using basics parts and tools from Lowe’s and what you have in your garage. My target cost was $50 but with everything I ended up at $58.12. Not to shabby!
7 wrz 2022 · Thread starter. #1. Didn't want to shell out $500 for an adjustable height cargo shelf like the AAL ones, so I made my own. I custom laser-cut my own metal side brackets to bolt onto the roll bars, and added a series of holes so that I could attach aluminum extrusion side arms and move them to different heights if needed.
12 gru 2011 · Anyone have any ideas for a home made cargo rack for the back of my wrangler? If so post pics and give ideas, I just don't feel like blowing 300 on a cargo rack when I could just weld one together..
24 lis 2017 · I'm toying with the idea of ditching my spare and looking for a rack that will fit behind my rear seat just above the tailgate. The rack would be positioned partly inside the cab and partly over the bumper. It would only be used for a small cooler and only with the rear window removed.

5 lut 2010 · I have just completed my first build of rear bumper/tire carrier and was looking for the all important cooler rack for "sodas" :cheers2: and had the same initial thought of yours, mount it to the rear door of the jeep.
