Storms have revealed the remains of a shipwreck which ran aground near Penzance, more than 130 years ago. The remains of a wooden hull can now be seen jutting out of the sand at Long Rock beach.

Whilst the ship was being towed for breaking up the tow cables broke and she ran aground off Prussia Cove, Cornwall on 23 March 1947. Note the absence of any armament, which had already been removed. Later on the ship was broken up in situ.
