HIT Entertainment owns and distributes children's television series such as Barney & Friends, Bob the Builder, Thomas & Friends, Pingu, Fireman Sam and Angelina Ballerina. In February 2012, the company was acquired by Mattel, although the company is still used as a label and copyright holder.
