Rossini’s The Barber of Seville opens Florida Grand Opera’s season 7 p.m. Saturday night at the Arsht Center with Megan Marino, Andrew Owens, David Pershall and Kevin Short. Barber runs through November 21 in Miami and December 3 and 5 at the Broward Center in Fort Lauderdale.
Our Story. In January 2016, Opera Orlando raised its banner with the goal of becoming the standard bearer for the art form in Central Florida. The region had been well-served for more than half of a century by the Orlando Opera and then, in 2009, by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and the Florida Opera Theatre.
