This calculator can be used to design a Quarter Wave Ground Plane antenna, with radials. The radiating element is a quarter wave (λ/4) and the radials are 12% longer. There are usually four radials, three being a minimum, but you could use up to six.

3 sie 2022 · Ground plane antenna online calculator. Created: 03 August 2022. Last Updated: 04 December 2023. Hits: 10696. The GP is the omnidirectional antenna. The calculator takes into account the wire diameter of the monopole and radials.
This calculator is designed to give the vertical length (height) of a quarter wave ground plane antenna, and the length of each of the four radials
Ground Planes. The standard ground plane antenna consists of a vertical radiator which is insulated and centered between 4 horizontal surrounding radials which extend out from the base of the antenna. Each radial is evenly spaced (90 degrees from each other) around the vertical element.
HF Antenna Calculator. Set Freq = MHz. λ = λ/2 = λ/4 = feet. m. Height = feet. m. Half-wave Dipole + Inverted-V Resonant on odd harmonics. Flat Dipole, Length = Len/2 = feet. m.
