Anyone with an SSN or an ITIN can get an IP PIN including individuals living abroad. The fastest way to receive an IP PIN is to request one through your Online Account. If you don’t already have an account on IRS.gov, you must register to validate your identity.
You may get an IP PIN immediately by visiting irs.gov/getanippin, or schedule a visit at a Taxpayer Assistance Center to request an IP PIN. You can find the TAC office closest to you with our Taxpayer Assistance Locator tool or call (844-545-5640) to schedule an appointment.

12 sty 2021 · Taxpayers who want an IP PIN for 2021 should go to IRS.gov/IPPIN and use the Get an IP PIN tool. This online process will require taxpayers to verify their identities using the Secure Access authentication process if they do not already have an IRS account.
Taxpayers who are unable to validate their identity online and have income of $72,000 or less, can file Form 15227, Application for an Identity Protection Personal Identification Number. The IRS will call the phone number the taxpayer provided on Form 15227 to validate the taxpayer’s identity.
