Recruitment opened Sunday, February 20, 2022, and will close at 11:59 p.m., Hawaii Standard Time, on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
We invite those that do not qualify for the Lateral-Entry Program to consider applying to our Metropolitan Police Recruit position which is currently on recruitment. A valid government issued Driver's License is required at the time of application.
Applicants who qualify for lateral-entry will be notified by HPD via email to self-schedule for Trip 1. Trip 1 will require a 1 day stay in Honolulu and will include a Written Exam and Physical Abilities Test (PAT). Applicants are responsible for all travel and lodging.
