Area agencies on aging coordinate local services and supports for older adults and people with disabilities in their communities. The Ohio Department of Aging provides funding to 12 area agencies. Agencies also receive a blend of federal, state, local, and community funds and contributions.
30 maj 2018 · Ohio’s Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) respond to the needs of older adults as advocates, planners and funders. AAAs provide education, information and referral services. AAAs work with the public and private sectors to help older adults with home and community-based long-term care.
Eligibility. The majority of services provided through the Area Agency on Aging and Disability (AAAD) are for persons over age 60 who are in greatest economic and social need. With the Options for Community Living Program, the AAAD may serve persons with disabilities 18 years of age and older based on a functional needs assessment.
Area Agency on Aging, PSA 2 is the area agency on aging that provides senior services in Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Miami, Montgomery, Preble & Shelby counties in western Ohio (region 2). The agency also administers the PASSPORT program in Mongomery, Clark, and Green counties.
