4 kwi 2023 · Moray Eels are most definitely dangerous. Not only are they apex predators but they are also capable of inflicting serious damage on humans if provoked. While Moray aren’t poisonous, their bites can often lead to infections which can cause further complications.
Gymnothorax funebris, green moray eels, can be found in the western Atlantic Ocean, including the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. Typically, these moray eels range as far north as New Jersey and as far south as Brazil. One individual was reported off the coast of Nova Scotia.
