Pastor William Herbert Johnson is the current humble pastor of Greater First Baptist Church in Lewisburg, Tennessee. He has severed the church in this position for fourteen years. Pastor Johnson is married to Deborah Kay Johnson. They have been married for twenty-eight years.
First Baptist Church was established in the 1900’s and was in Needmore near Raymond Purdom’s Grocery here in Lewisburg. After acquiring a parcel of land on Fifth Avenue, the members of the church and Reverend Miller marched from Needmore to the new location.
Our vision is to make an impact for God, here in Lewisburg, Tennessee by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds. Everyone is welcome, no matter your age, beliefs, or background.
