4 maj 2004 · Most winch manufacturers have their own lube, but lubriplate or any light gear grease will do. I normally grease the shaft as well as the roller bearings and twirl them. You want to be carefull trying to force grease in to the rollers, let the action do it for you.

6 sty 2016 · "We strongly recommend always using XXXXX winch grease, when lubricating your winch. XXXX winch grease is a high quality silicone/Teflon® grease product. Most other types of grease, including “marine grease” are not suitable for lubrication of winches.
Use only a light smear of winch grease when lubricating ratchet tracks, gear teeth and bearings. Otherwise excess grease will be forced out and collect in potentially dangerous areas, such as pawl pockets. Assembly Winches must be re-assembled in the reverse sequence to the order of dismantling.
