The Grammar School was founded in 1963. The overall aim of the school is to provide both a general and specialized education enabling students to obtain the School’s Leaving Certificate (Apolytirion), IGCSE and GCE Advanced Subsidiary (AS) and Advanced Level examinations.
Admissions Procedure. Applying to The Grammar School is simple, we believe in a personal approach and making things easy. All new students to the school are required to take an entrance examination in English (or Greek for Greek speakers in class 1) and Mathematics.
At The Grammar School, the curriculum is designed to meet the students’ academic and personal needs. The academic programmes are rich and varied, giving students strong backgrounds in the natural and social sciences. The heart of any school is its faculty.
The Grammar School’s philosophy on education not only emphasizes the active involvement of students and teachers, but also parents. This approach focuses on the need for a holistic approach to education stressing the importance of a student’s health and well being in combination with their academic development.
Meet us in person, see the school facilities and gain an insight into our Academic, Athletic and STEM programmes. These incorporate new technologies and are tailored to suit each child’s needs. You may also explore the many clubs and activities our students are involved in.
The School’s Entrance Examinations are held on dates approved by the Ministry of Education and Culture. A student must pass both subjects (Mathematics and Greek for Greek speakers and Mathematics and English for non-Greek speakers) with an average above 50%.
