  2. For a while, my GPU fans have been randomly spinning at full speed when my monitors go into sleep mode. I have two monitors, and this has been happening since around when I got my second monitor. The spinning is always sudden and then it stops.

  4. 7 cze 2021 · I'm guessing the problem is that when windows tells the monitor to sleep/turn off, the monitor or windows either doesn't send a proper signal, so your gpu does not know what to do and speeds the fan.

  5. 4 lis 2021 · After the monitor is turned off, GPU fans will occasionally and randomly have a burst of 3 to 20 seconds, spinning at full speed thus making very loud noise, and then suddenly back to normal. This happens only while the monitor is on sleep mode, and can happen every couple dozen of seconds or minutes in that time frame.

  6. 19 lut 2018 · It seemed like the issue was gone, but after a few days my screen started to randomly turn off, even while in BIOS. It also stays off when waking from sleep sometimes, although nowhere near as often as with the VGA to HDMI adapter. I did send my GPU to someone and there were no problems on their PC, no overheating or such even under heavy load.

  7. 17 sie 2023 · Update. After many hours of trying and testing solutions we have found that the cause of my problem was due to the amount of Mhz my GPU was drawing. Creating a slight negative offset in Mhz (in my case) within MSI Afterburner likely reduced the power being consumed by the GPU.
