Gotham is a geometric sans-serif typeface family designed by American type designer Tobias Frere-Jones with Jesse Ragan and released through the Hoefler & Frere-Jones foundry from 2002. Gotham's letterforms were inspired by examples of architectural signs of the mid-twentieth century.
The bold architectural capitals that inspired the iconic Gotham typeface are merely the cornerstone of a versatile family of fonts. Four different widths in a range of weights, plus deep character sets, extended language support, and versions for different media, combine to make Gotham a powerful and indispensable design.

24 mar 2016 · You might have a Type 1 version of Gotham. Support for Type 1 fonts ended in Photoshop with version 23.0. They will be phased out in all Adobe products January 2023. Best get OTF versions of your font library before then.
