Are you plugging the Microphone directly into the GoPro adapter? If so, that's the problem. The Purple Panda mic using a 3 pole TRRS plug which the adapter doesn't recognize. The Purple Panda should have come with a TRRS (3 pole) to TRS (2 pole) adapter.

Hi, I have GoPro Hero 5 Session and when i use the external mic adapter with one of their recommended mics then its randomly recoding sound/audio/voice. meaning that when i use the camera with the external 3.5mm mic adapter and make for example 5 videos then maybe 1 or 2 of them will be with sound. What can be the problem? is there a fix for that?
