Print and carry the interim license with you along with your current license until your new license arrives in the mail, in about 10-20 business days. If the mailing address on your license has changed, you MUST update your address BEFORE renewing your license.

There are two ways to renew your New Jersey driver’s license or photo ID. Renew your NJ license: Online. OR. At a Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) office. If you are eligible, you must renew online. However, if you decide to request a REAL ID for the first time, you must do so in person.
