I've printed several guns, magazines, and accessories. Here's my thoughts on your questions. PLA+ is good for things that need to be very rigid, like magazine lips or Glock frames. However, it doesn't bend well without shattering, so don't build a rifle out of it. For this, I recommend PETG over ABS and maybe nylon. It's cheap and easy to use.
