As a general rule a factory extended mag will be more reliable than an equivalent capacity factory mag plus aftermarket extension. But what if one is just too big?
I have 3 mag extensions, 2 that are the Pearce grip + 2 and a Taylor freelance brass +5. The Pearce grips one work fine with OEM spring. The TF +5 came with a longer spring. - I have a Glock 45 so 17/19x frame length. No issues with them so far.
