2 lis 2016 · Mike-M. The heel at the rear end of the recoil spring assembly must be seated as close to the barrel as possible, before installing the slide/barrel/RSA assembly on the frame. After the pistol has been fully assembled, the RSA heel will no longer be in contact with the barrel underlug.

27 paź 2014 · I noticed this when i dis-assembled my G23 gen4 to clean after shooting. I pushed the recoil assembly into the half moon notch, put slide back on and racked the slide a couple times. The recoil spring assembly moved back to the same position. Is this normal ?
18 lip 2008 · The 20 lb. recoil spring would be o.k. for the 180 gr. loads and the medium velocity 165 gr (950 to 980 fps aka FBI load). For the full power 150 - 165 gr loads (1100 - 1250 FPS) then the 22 lb one is needed. I use the 22 lb springs for my G23 because I use the full power / supersonic stuff.
12 gru 2012 · The Recoil Spring Assembly (RSA) on GLOCKS is a very important part of the operational chain that determines if the pistol fires or not. GLOCK highly reccommends replacing the RSA every 3 to 5 thousand rounds. Will the pistol operate longer on a worn spring, sure it will.
17 lip 2011 · Failing to do so could result in the guide rod ending up in the wrong place in the frame and make it very difficult to get the gun field stripped again. Now with the muzzle end of the guide rod, the plastic end cap and spring pinching the hole in the slide is normal with the Gen4's.
