20 maj 2007 · What would be the best weight spring to use with a G17? I shoot only 147gr and it does seem to have more recoil than 115gr, so I'm thinking that the stock 17lb. spring is weaker than necessary if I'm shooting only 147 gr. bullets. I'm thinking about the Glockmeister captured tungsten guide rod with a 20 lb. spring. Is that reasonable?

8 wrz 2015 · For Glock 17 - use the original recoil spring. For Glock 34 - use the RYG stainless steel Tungsten guide rod. For Glock 35 - use the 13 lbs spring in a stainless wolf guide rod. It ran flawlessly.
1 mar 2018 · The 17lb spring is fine for both practice loads and +P loads, and even for +P+. But reduced weight springs are used to match the power floor in the competition shooting games. So if you hand load down to the Minor floor, in IDPA SSP Division, for example, you could go to 13 or 15 lb springs.

19 paź 2013 · The stock spring weight for a Glock 17 9mm is 17 pounds. If you want to change spring weights frequently and use different velocity ammo, choose a guide rod that will allow you to disassemble it and change springs.

10 lip 2010 · I'm planning on buying a Wolff guide rod and spring combo for my G27 (stock one broke). What's the difference between the 14lbs, 16lbs, etc. (goes all the way up to 24lbs)? Is it a functional thing that I won't notice the difference? Or will it functionally be the same but would effect my shooting?
