10 lut 2010 · Does anyone know if I can open GIMP on a Mac running OS X 10.9.5? I just get a message saying that it cannot be opened, but not telling me why. Can you try running GIMP from the command-line/terminal/console window? What happens when you run it under a debugger such as gdb or LLDB?
2 paź 2012 · I've downloaded the new GIMP 2.10.12 and delete the previous version (!). Then, I've recently updated my Mac with Mojave 10.14.5. After this I couldn't use GIMP. For ex, I am starting to open the app, then, on the final step I hit Open and wait and wait and GIMP is not opening.
13 sie 2021 · No not Catalina, using Big Sur on MacBook Air with M1 chip. Anyhow, the issue is SOLVED. Had to go to System Preferencs>Security & Privacy>Files & Folders and check off permission for GIMP to access my Desktop Folder.
2 sie 2020 · The root of the problem appears to be that I had both Gimp 2.8 and Gimp 2.10 installed on the system. Problem did not reoccur once I made sure to sandbox 2.8.
