Gifford Farm, a department of Educational Service Unit #3 has been serving students in the greater Omaha area for over 40 years with outdoor education about farming, nature, science, history, teamwork, and much more.
Gifford Farm, offering agricultural curriculum and outdoor education to K-12 students, is located in Bellevue along the Missouri River and is surrounded by 1200 acres of riverfront and woodlands belonging to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
The Farm Program. Gifford Farm Education Center is an exciting place to visit for young and old! This working farm helps teach students where their food comes from through fun, hands-on experiencee. There are many farm animals to see, hear and touch as children learn the importance of farming.
As a public institution that operates year-round and serves all of the school districts within ESU #3 as well as organizations within the Omaha Metro area, our mission is to offer rich, comprehensive education that serves the students and families on and off the farm for events and programming.
Open to the Public Gifford Farm is Open to the Public every Friday from May to August 1, 2025 to October 31, 2025 from 10 am to 12 pm. Admission $6 each ages 2 and older. Cash or Check only.Join us for a relaxing morning at the farm. Visit the animals, explore the Outdoor Nature Classroom, and take a hayride into the forest. Don't forget to bring your lunch or snack and enjoy a picnic!
