8 kwi 2023 · Short answer: Renewing a Ghanaian passport at the US Consulate in New York requires an appointment and submission of necessary documents, including a completed application, old passport, two passport-sized photos, and proof of payment. The processing time may take up to four weeks.
Applicants who miss their appointments can request to schedule a new appointment subject to availability through our livechat or email at livechat@ghanaconsulatenewyork.org, and provide the correct visa or passport reference number, full name, date and time for new appointment (subject to availability).
