The Schools and Instructions (S&I) Division is a merger of the Secondary Education Division and the Basic Education Division. The major functions of the Schools and Instructions Division includes; 1.Monitoring and supervision of teaching and learning in Basic and Second Cycle Schools.
The National SHS Prospectus, which was first released for the 2023-2024 academic year, is not expected to change. All Senior High Schools in Ghana are advised to solely use the prospectus provided by the Ghana Education Service.

29 lis 2021 · The Ghana Education Service (GES) following the ongoing 2021 selection of schools by the students who sat for the 31st edition of the BECE for School has released a list of the category A, B, C & D Senior High Schools in the country.
Students who complete the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at the Junior High School level and meet the relevant requirements are able to enter public Senior High Schools or Technical and Vocational and Training Schools under the Ghana Education Service and Technical/Vocational and Training Service GES/TVET respectively.
