Does anyone know of any language learning programs that are free for military? I know some base libraries offer Rosetta Stone and other programs if you're stationed there. Tried Googling it but haven't found anything except some discounted offers.
Getting college classes are better but vary in quality. My recommendation would be to find a free online resource such as languagepod or pimsleur to start with basics and then get a language exchange partner or tutor to get into intermediate/advanced language.
