Gems stolen from a gem stall can now go straight into a Gem Bag, provided you have one in your Inventory. The 'Empty' option on the Gem Bag has been replaced with an option that will allow you to transfer all gems to your Inventory at once, starting with sapphires.

A bag full of gems is obtainable from Prospector Percy's Nugget Shop for 40 golden nuggets, from Belona's Mining Guild Mineral Exchange for 20 unidentified minerals, or from Dusuri's Star Shop for 300 stardust. Each bag contains an assortment of 40 noted uncut gems.
Gems are valuable stones that are primarily used in Crafting. They can be obtained from Mining (either randomly while mining other ores or from gem rocks), as a frequent drop from a wide range of monsters via part of the rare drop table or occasionally given out as gifts from various random events.
This calculator will look at how many gem bags you can buy with your star dust and give you an estimate of how much crafting experience you'll get by cutting the gems and optionally smelting jewellery with the cut gems.
