22 kwi 2004 · If the fuel in the oil is from a bad carb adjustment, you are likely ruining the ring seals and getting way to much wear on the cylinders. You really need to look into this as a serious problem, especially if it is as bad as you say, it's a street engine and has been going on this long.
31 maj 2017 · If you guess having gas in oil, the first thing to check is the fuel pressure regulator. Now, remove the vacuum line attached to the regulator and check if there is any raw fuel, there shouldn't be. A vacuum can be applied to the regulator and it should hold vacuum without leaking off.
28 wrz 2012 · if your float was sticking there would be gas overflowing onto the engine, unless the leaking gas could be seeping into the intake(s) while the bike is stationary. Then it gets into the cylinder and seeps past piston rings and into the block where it would mix with oil.
30 maj 2015 · The raw gas then leaks down the cylinder wall and into the crankcase. The repair shop gave up trying to fix it and installed a manual cut-off valve in the fuel line. You have to remember to open the valve before you start the engine and close it when you shut the engine off.
