E-Ticket booked for IRCTC Trains can be cancelled online and refund will be granted by the system as per IRCTC Refund Rules, as follows: 1. Cancellation Charges for Confirmed Tickets. Cancellation charges are per passenger. If a confirmed ticket is cancelled within 48 hrs and up to 12 hours before the scheduled departure of the train, cancellation charges shall be 25% of the fare subject to the minimum flat rate mentioned in the above clause.
E-tickets can be cancelled through the IRCTC website, Mobile App or from any online portal from where you booked your ticket, whereas counter tickets need to be cancelled at any of the PRS (Passenger Reservation System) counters.

23 lis 2023 · Cancellation Charges Within 48 to 12 Hours. When cancellations occur within the window of 48 to 12 hours before the scheduled departure, the charges are calculated at 25% to 50% of the e-ticket fare, considering the higher value between these percentages or the minimum flat rate specified earlier.
Online cancellation shall be permitted only upto 4 hours before the scheduled departure of the train if ticket is fully confirmed. Online cancellation shall be permitted only upto 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of the train if ticket is RAC/Waitlist.
If a confirmed ticket is cancelled more than 24 hrs before the scheduled departure of the train, flat cancellation charges shall be deducted @ Rs.70/- for AC First Class/Executive Class, Rs.60/- for AC 2 Tier/AC 3 Tier/First Class/AC Chair car, Rs.40/- for Sleeper Class and Rs.20/- for Second Class.
