In 2013 I got a mid tier gaming PC. It had 12 gb of ram and a rx260 GPU with 2 gb of vram. I upgraded it soon after to 16 gb of VRAM. The drives are dying, and the GPU died a couple months ago. A top tier gaming PC from that time could still run modern games, although not at 60 fps.
