FRESHWATER USE. Galvan reels require very little cleaning and maintenance when used in freshwater. However, to keep your reel running smoothly we recommend an occasional wipe down of the spindle and a tiny drop of reel lube on the spindle.
This warranty provides that your Galvan reels will be repaired or replaced at no charge to the original owner. The warranty is effective only if purchased by you or for you from an Authorized Galvan Dealer, with either registration of warranty card or proof of purchase.
Go figure, the reel became unseated when landing a fish and it fell onto a rock. This has bent the spool and makes it grind against the reel frame. Has anyone sent a reel back to Galvan with a similar issue and can speak to how they repaired it?
13 lis 2022 · Had my old R-8 serviced due to the drag starting to fail and some rust formation. Galvan rebuilt the drag assembly with all new parts. 2 weeks door to door...
I use Galvan reels almost exclusively and have only had one problem. I called Galvan they explained they had gotten a bad batch of grease for the drag system which caused the problem. I sent the reel in and it was repaired.
17 sty 2016 · Having a true sealed reel (Nautilus) vs (Galvan) that has to be broken down everytime and cleaned, especially when getting drunked. Reading some posts alot of people have felt that having the ability to fix something with spare parts vs having to send the reel in for a true repair.

Last year *someone* put a T-6 on the roof of my car, and shortly thereafter I had the pleasure of watching it fly off the back and bounce across the road. The reel survived remarkably intact, but did need a new foot. They shipped me a free replacement, no questions asked, no shaming.
