14 lis 2016 · Having said all that, Solidworks can generate a 3D PDF file even in the baseline version. So, what I do is export my model from FreeCAD to something like STEP or IGES and then import it into Solidworks. From there, it's a few easy clicks to export a 3D PDF.

10 paź 2024 · The most common technique for preparing a 3D model for printing involves exporting the 3D object from FreeCAD to a specialized software known as a slicer. The slicer generates G-code by slicing the model into thin layers, which the 3D printer will follow to build the object layer by layer.
Currently when one exports an object to PDF, what you get is a rather low resolution 2D image of the object. The PDF format supports 3D objects that can be rotated, though this is pretty much only supported by Adobe Acrobat reader right now.
