18 lut 2023 · Every time I start my computer, I have to wait 15 - 20 minutes just for it to actually be usable because disk usage is stuck at 100% and causing high lag. I have no idea why, and I tried a few solutions like disabling Windows search.

29 mar 2016 · Method 1: Run System Maintenance troubleshooter and check if it helps. Follow the steps: a) Press Windows and X key together and select Control Panel. b) Click on Troubleshooting. c) Click on View all option on the left side of the Windows. d) Click on System Maintenance option.
4 paź 2020 · On one laptop, I find a full reboot in Windows takes ~7 minutes to finish scan and get up to speed; on that laptop, Ubuntu boots in ~1.5 minutes, without need for virus scan. You should also check your hard disk for errors with your favourite SMART program.
25 lut 2017 · In summary: If you have constant 100% disk usage where the ressource monitor does not Show specific processes/programs that actually use the disk that much, then consider changing the hdard-drive either to an SSD (preferred) or simply to a DIFFERENT HARD DISK. I suspect an issue with the disk-Controller driver and hard-disk Firmware.
