This ultimately fixed it for me, after trying several things including a reinstall and many listed in this thread: Find the game's installation folder. Mine was in C:\XboxGames\Dune- Spice Wars\Content\. But you can find it via the gamepass app if you right-click on the game and browse for files.
I found a fix to the no "play with friends" points: Use mobile data on your phone before opening the Xbox app or refresh the points if you already have it open, and you should have the play with friends points available.
