Directions. The 1st Cavalry Division Museum at the intersection of 56th and 761st Tank Battalion Avenue in Building 2218 on Fort Hood. To get to the museum from Interstate 35, travel West on Expressway 190 towards Killeen. Once in Killeen, continue traveling on 190 until reaching the Clear Creek Gate.
The memorial is a stone gazebo with 13 bronze statues that reflect each of the fallen. The $400,000 memorial was funded through a mix of corporate and private donors and features individual bronze sculptures by artist Troy Kelly. Each one tells a unique story. Very moving and a must-see.
